This interactive panel including Frances Wilson (Deloitte), Jane Evans (BMO) and
Salvador Segura-Ortega (IBM) will share their companies best practices in recruiting a diverse
workforce. Each panel member will present for 10-15 minutes followed by an
interactive questions and answer period.

Frances Wilson -
As Deloitte's Diversity Manager, Frances supports our
Chief Diversity Officer, Jane Allen, and the National Diversity Council to
implement key strategies, plans and initiatives that drive towards Deloitte's
vision of being recognized internally and externally as a leader in diversity.
Frances works with business leaders and our employees to demonstrate and
communicate the importance of diversity and inclusion. Additionally, Frances
works closely with Deloitte's human resources professionals to ensure that
Deloitte's talent management policies, practices and programs value and
demonstrate respect for the uniqueness of individuals and the varied
perspectives and talents they provide. Prior to joining our national diversity
office, Frances worked as a Manager in our Health Services and Human Capital
Consulting Practices. With more than 6 years of consulting experience at
Deloitte, Frances' work focused primarily on change management, organizational
culture and organizational design. Fluent in English, French, Spanish and
German, Frances has lived throughout Canada as well as abroad in Germany and
Mexico. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (International
Business), as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Modern Languages). |

Jane Evans
- In her current role as Senior Manager Diversity and Workplace Equity
Canada, Jane Evans’ mandate is to attract, engage and
retain a talented and diverse workforce capable of achieving BMO Financial
Group’s goal of becoming the top performing financial institution in Canada. Since joining BMO in 1992, Jane has played a key role within
Human Resources in the areas of Organization Development, Workforce Planning,
and Compensation.

Salvador Segura-Ortega
is IBM
Canada’s National Talent Acquisition Process Lead. He has responsibility for
defining and laying out the different recruitment policies and processes to
identify, attract, select and hire the best talent available. In addition Mr.
Segura is IBM’s Onboarding Program Manager and oversees the Employee Referral
Bonus Program at his company. His mission as well is to increase diversity
awareness and outreach working with non profit organizations focused on
diversity employment. Salvador has held different positions in the IBM
Corporation for over 20 years in Latin America, United States and Canada in the
areas of Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, Sales and Distribution
Channels. He’s been elected to participate in several executive development
programs and has won several awards and recognition. Salvador holds an Executive
MBA degree from the joint U.S./Canada Kellogg-Schulich Program (Northwestern
University and York University). He is currently an Ambassador of the Toronto
Board of Trade and has served as a Director of the Canadian Community Living
Foundation Board, a non pforit organization that assists children with
intellectual disabilities. He has been invited as a speaker and panelist in
different events on topics related to recruitment and diversity. |
